Thompson manor was everything I expected and more. The house itself is beautiful. A mixture of old and new making a charming combination. It’s set in a huge garden full of wildlife. Watching monkeys swinging through the trees and a kingfisher diving in the pool were highlights. The staff were amazing looking after us and cooking amazing food. The host was great to communicate with. I can’t recommend this place enough. One day I’ll be back

"A Wonderful Getaway in a Great Location!"
Our stay at Thompson Villa was outstanding! Krishantha was very responsive from the start and was always there to answer any questions we had. The villa itself is the most relaxing place with a great pool, wonderful gardens and wildlife coming right up to the doorstep. The staff at the villa were very attentive and cooked us a great meal for breakfast and dinner everyday. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you are visiting Sri Lanka.

EXCELLENTVerified Es war ein wundervoller Aufenthalt, bei einem tollen Gastgeber, mit seinem immer aufmerksamen Team. Jeder Wunsch wurde uns sofort erfüllt. Die Highlights des Anwesens sind ganz sicher der offene Wohn - und Essbereich und der warme, tolle Pool. Immer wieder konnten wir beim Baden die Affen beobachten. Auf Wunsch wurden uns alle Mahlzeiten, die wir uns vorstellen konnten zubereitet. Das Essen war fantastisch. Das Haus ist eine wundervolle Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung. Krish ist sehr freundlich und stand uns jeder Zeit als Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung. Wir hatten eine ganz besondere Zeit mit unseren Kindern. Vielen Dank dafür, wir kommen gerne wieder 🙂Verified Были на вилле 30 дней. (март-апрель). Огромная, зелёная, красивая территория, каждый день убирается выглядит потрясающе, настоящие джунгли с обезьянами на пальмах(к людям не подходят), с павлинами которые часто прилетали, пару раз на виллу заходил большой варан). Отличный бассейн, который тоже каждый день чистится, дети в восторге. Спальни тоже отличные, с хорошими матрасами, убирали через день, когда оставляли ключи. Очень трудящихся персонал виллы, всегда занят работой, что то убирает, что то чистит, подметает молодец. Всегда есть горячая вода, кондиционеры, всё работает отлично. На кухне есть всё самое необходимое, единственно не работает посудомойка. В стране был большой кризис, проблемы с газом, с бензином, с диз топливом, отключали каждый день электричество по 5-10 часов в день, но на вилле есть генератор и ты этого не замечаешь, хозяин дома всегда находил возможность купить и газ для кухни и дизель для генератора. Хозяин очень хороший, приветливый человек, всегда был на связи и при необходимости быстро решал возникающие вопросы, организовал трансфер с аэропорта и обратно, даже сделал нам подарок при выезде, чему мы крайне удивились, спасибо Вам за всё, обязательно вернёмся. Вилла находится достаточно далеко от моря, необходимо машина или байк. Мы брали авто на месяц и объехали все пляжи шри ланки, это было не забываемо, океан - сила. До скорых встреч.Verified Проживали на данной вилле в феврале 2022 года с тремя детьми. Начнём сначала: со встречи с хозяином Сrisanto❤️ встреча была настолько тёплая приятная и удивила радушием. Вилла потрясла масштабами, зеленью, тишиной, шикарным чистейшим бассейном, уютными номерами. Отдельное спасибо повару, который готовил незабываемые шикарные завтраки и ужины, такого уровня даже не было в лучших ресторанах на Шри-ланке. Потрясающая атмосфера, уединенность от дороги,постоянное нахождение персонала, который был готов откликнуться на любые просьбы. Отдельно хочу написать про расположение виллы, прям в джунглях, возле бассейна по пальмами прыгают обезьяны, вблизи ползают вараны, летают райские птицы, это просто какое-то волшебство. Обязательно при первой же возможности вернёмся на эту виллу. Отдельное спасибо хозяину Кришанте, просто чудеснейший добрейший внимательный превосходный человек, так как он встречает гостей наверное нас нигде никогда не встречали, он позаботился о каждой мелочи, откликнулся на все наши просьбы, помог в каждом вопросе, персонал на Вилле тоже очень дружелюбный внимательный и отзывчивый, невероятно запоминающийся отдых, благодаря нахождению там. The Caretakers Kapila and Hemajith are very friendly and the food is delicious..!!The ambience is nice and the pool is clean.. Highly recommended..!! Gorgeous house, beautiful gardens, a welcoming pool and a hospitality team par excellent. Our family of five were pampered for four nights. Fantastic in house chef who prepared local dishes for us and even some scrumptious pasta for the kids. All our needs were truly looked after, whether it was arranging for tuktuks, vans, laundry, snacks, or even for a masseuse to come in. Highly recommend a stay here to anyone wanting some peace and solitude. The location is also excellent, you’re just a 10-15 min drive from Unawatuna. Krish (the owner) was always available for any questions we had, both prior and during our stay. The property is even better than the pictures, conveniently located and spotless clean. The caretaker team of Kapila and Hemajith are great human beings who take care of every need. Their hospitality is warm, efficient and very accomodating. Food cooked by them is delicious, sufficient and hygienic. They topped themselves with a fantastic barbeque on the last day of the year for us which made our stay memorable.Verified The Manor is a beauty and we had a wonderful time there. It's very well maintained and all the rooms and the pool area was extremely clean. The garden is stunning and there were peacocks flying over the pool and it was quite breathtaking. The villa is true to the photos shown here and I must say that we were surprised by the cleanliness of this place.Special thanks to Kapila and other staff members for helping us with everything and preparing us, one tasty BBQ dinner. We made the booking at the last minute yet the host Krishantha managed to arrange everything to the point within a few hours. A very big thanks to the super host Krishantha! We would definitely come back again.Verified Loved the place! The 'Manor' is such a treat for anyone looking for something unique and chilled out. The outdoorsy environment was very homely and welcoming. Everything was so clean and perfect. We loved the rooms, large verandahs and of course the kids loved the ponds and fish! The pool is in a lovely shaded area with a view of the house and the massive trees beyond. What a way to relax...The staff were great but maybe could be a tad more accommodating. The pantry and facilities are all upto date and clean. Thanks to the super host Krishantha...Verified Firstly, don't be put off by the location. Anyone who visits Galle will find that the beachfront is busy & noisy. Thompson Manor is set back in the small hills just to the north of Galle Fort. Less than 15 minutes by Tuk Tuk (for just a few dollars) to Unawatuna beach and Galle Fort and the house is this wonderful oasis of calm with cool breezes and amazing sun rises.The photos are beautiful but somehow don't do the place justice. The gardens are stunning, we know when to have afternoon tea as a troop of monkeys comes through the canopy at the same time every afternoon. There are a family of mongoose on the property that are lovely to watch playing at the bottom of the garden (and glad to know there won't be any snakes about!). Kingfishers nest in the bank beside the pool and we had a peacock fly over head one afternoon which was quite a spectacle!As for the host, I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Krish and his team for their hospitality, friendship and advice. I currently write this review whist under curfew/lockdown in the villa during the COVID-19 pandemic and we are safe and well courtesy of their hospitality. We are very lucky to have such an accomodating host during such a challenging time.We will be back to Galle and Thompson Manor will always be our FIRST choice.
